Thank you for your time and consideration. I'm pleased to present our Mood Board to you, in application to the 2025 Bumbershoot Fashion Show.

Floruisse is a Seattle based gender-inclusive lingerie and loungewear brand. The Pike Place Blooms have always been a big love for me, and was an inspiration while choosing our name Floruisse, which means to bloom in Latin.

As in the runway video inspiration below, there is movement, volume and play on silhouette. We would like to translate these flowing volumes into large flowers and petals, expanding from the model. Headpieces and accessories will be used to emphasize natural elements mimicking vines and flower buds. Garments from our own collection will be used as base layers to build the pieces upon.

Our main goal in this project is to have zero, to minimal waste. (We can reveal onstage how much waste went into the completion of the collection.) Fashion is a huge environmental disruptor, and we would like to show that beauty can come from being resourceful. The bold, floral themed garments, will be constructed using reclaimed and second-hand materials, repurposing fabric scraps, beads, yarn, string, wire, paint, and any other materials already in our studio and elsewhere. Refined, hand-loved, and couture construction techniques will be used to while sewing the looks: embroidery, beading, passementerie and patchwork. The color palette of the flowers will be shades of magenta, pink, and orange/red, with supporting hues, shown bellow.

Blooms remind us to be present, to stop and smell the roses, before their season has ended. We await their arrival, after what seemingly feels like the longest winter, being nurtured in the soil. We long for their color and vibrancy. When they arrive, their time with us is beautiful.
